2. Information We Collect

BodyIO collects only the information necessary to provide its core functionality. The categories of information we collect include:

• Health and wellness data — water intake logs, bowel movement records (Bristol scale type, notes), medication schedules and dose logs, and related timestamps. This data is entered by you and stored locally on your device.
• iCloud sync data — if you enable iCloud sync, your health logs are stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit framework. This data is encrypted by Apple and is accessible only to you and to devices signed into your Apple ID.
• Account information — if you create an account (via Apple Sign-In or email), we collect your name and email address solely for the purpose of account management.
• Subscription information — we use RevenueCat to manage in-app subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect your Apple ID purchase receipt and subscription status. Please refer to RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
• Server-side data — when you use features that require our backend server (hosted on Railway), limited technical data such as request logs and error reports may be retained for up to 30 days for debugging purposes. This data does not include your health logs.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect exclusively to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the BodyIO application and its features;
• Sync your data across your devices via iCloud (if enabled);
• Process and manage your subscription through RevenueCat;
• Respond to your support requests and inquiries;
• Diagnose technical issues and ensure the stability of our services.

We do not use your health data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond delivering the app's core functionality.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your health logs are stored primarily on your device using local storage (AsyncStorage / SQLite). If iCloud sync is enabled, data is stored in your personal iCloud account and is subject to Apple's security and encryption standards. Our backend server (Railway) stores only the minimum technical data required for app functionality and does not store your health logs.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect any data processed through our servers, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all network communication.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the app:

• Apple / iCloud — for device sync and Sign-In with Apple authentication;
• RevenueCat — for subscription management and purchase validation;
• Railway — our backend hosting provider, which processes server-side requests.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hope Lab Innovations LLC, our users, or the public.

6. Analytics

BodyIO does not currently use any third-party analytics services. In the future, we may integrate privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand how the app is used and improve the user experience. If we do so, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required by law, seek your consent before collecting any additional data.

7. Children's Privacy

BodyIO is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete it.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete your data. Since most of your health data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app. For any data stored on our servers, please contact us at [email protected] to submit a data deletion request.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the app. Your continued use of BodyIO after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
